Cracker Toffee
1 sleeve Saltine Crackers
3/4 brown sugar, packed
1 cup unsalted butter
12 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips
Optional toppers: nonpareils, chopped nuts
1 -heat oven to 400 degrees, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or greased foil
2- arrange crackers on sheet pan
3-Boil brown sugar and butter in saucepan 3 minutes, pour over crackers
4-bake in oven 5 minutes
5-sprinkle choc over caramelly crackers, spread with spatula when melted, decorate with nuts/nonpareils/dragees or whatever!
6-let harden and break or cut into pieces
